How our probate services are different
Any attorney who has experience with probate law can handle a probate case. However, most attorneys just handle the legal aspects of probate without thinking about how to handle probate while doing all that is reasonable to keep a family together and prevent strife, tension and outright war in a family.
We do all we can to carry out the wishes of the person who died as well as provide practical do’s and don’ts meant to prevent many of the issues that cause family strife during this difficult time. Just because someone has the legal right to do something, doesn’t make it right.
There are few things that will destroy a family faster than a will contest. The only time when it is reasonable to engage in such is when there is a real question as to whether the deceased person was unduly influenced, a victim or fraud, or another obvious issue with their will. In the rare case when it is reasonable and the right thing to do we will engage in a will contest and we do so to win. Brita has the unusual asset of having years of trial experience. When she goes to court she generally wins because she is not in court unless the other side is being unreasonable. She also knows how to think on her feet, knows court rules and evidence and has the experience that only years of trial experience provides.
